Overland Expo West has been on our radar for a long time. The overlanding community is full of the exact kind of people we build parts for, people who actually use their trucks and Jeeps, who care about what's underneath them, and who can tell the difference between a marketing claim and real engineering. So when we finally got the chance to set up at Fort Tuthill County Park in Flagstaff for the May 15–17 show, we went all in.
And it did not disappoint.

Thank You to Everyone Who Stopped By
First things first — thank you. To every single person who walked up to the booth, asked questions, grabbed a part and felt the weight of it, or just came by to tell us they were already running Apex on their rig — that's exactly why we were there.
For a first-time Overland Expo exhibitor, the reception was honestly overwhelming. We talked steering with hundreds of people over three days, from guys building dedicated rock crawlers to families dialing in their overlanding setup for their big trip. The energy at this show is different. People aren't just browsing, they're building, planning, and ready to commit to the parts that are going to keep them safe and driving straight out on the trail.
We got to connect with some incredible builders, content creators, and voices in the overlanding space. The conversations we had about what people need from their steering — what's working, what's failing, and what they wish existed — are already shaping what we're working on next. That kind of face-to-face feedback is invaluable, and it reminded us why we got into this industry in the first place.

Shoutout to Peter — @bypass_taco
A huge thank you to Peter (@bypass_taco) for volunteering his 3rd Gen Tacoma for our booth display. Having a real, built rig right there at the booth made all the difference. People could see exactly how Apex tie rods look installed, get underneath and check out the fitment, and ask questions about real-world performance with a real owner standing right there.
Peter's Tacoma drew a ton of attention all weekend. It's a clean, well-thought-out build, and featuring our upgraded tie rods on it gave us the perfect platform to show what Apex does for the Tacoma and 4Runner crowd. If you saw it at the show, you already know — if you didn't, go give Peter a follow and check it out.
Thank you, Peter. We appreciate you letting us showcase your rig and couldn't have asked for a better truck to represent what Apex is all about.

What We Showed: What Makes Apex Different
For a lot of people at the show, this was their first time seeing Apex products in person. And that was the whole point — we wanted to give the overlanding community a chance to put hands on what we build and understand why it's different.
Here's the short version of what we told everyone who stopped by.
Apex Chassis is the premier manufacturer and distributor of extreme-duty steering and suspension products. We don't just make tubes and outsource the important stuff. We design, engineer, and manufacture every component. From the forged tie rod ends with Kamal ball studs to the 7075-T6 aluminum and DOM steel connecting rods. If it says Apex on it, it's our product from start to finish.
We build complete steering systems for Jeep Wrangler JK, JL, and Gladiator JT in both 2.5-ton and 1-ton configurations, full-size steering for Ford F-250/F-350 Super Duty and Ram 2500/3500, upgraded IFS tie rods for Toyota Tacoma and 4Runner that are significantly beefier than stock, plus Bronco and a full line of Chevy steering products. On top of that, we offer ball joints for every application we make steering for, and we're expanding into track bars.
Two innovations got the most attention at the booth: our patent-pending ProLock Link Connect System, the keyway-based mechanical lock that completely prevents tie rod rotation and jam nut loosening, and the DuroBoot, our solid rubber boot that replaces traditional accordion boots to prevent over-greasing blowouts, trail damage, and metal-on-metal bearing noise.

A Great First Overland Expo — We'll Be Back
Overland Expo West 2026 was our first, and we're already planning for the next one. The overlanding community showed up, engaged with our products, and gave us exactly the kind of feedback that makes us better. This is the kind of show where the people in the booth next to you become friends and the person asking about a Tacoma tie rod ends up showing you trail photos from Moab on their phone.
We came to Flagstaff to introduce Apex Chassis to the overland world. We left knowing we're exactly where we're supposed to be.
To everyone who stopped by, talked shop, took a card, or told us they're ready to order — we appreciate you. And to the builders, content creators, and industry people who spent time at the booth getting into the details with us — those conversations matter more than you know.
We'll see you at the next one.
